All denominations of Netherlands Antilles guilder banknotes issued from 1986 to 1994 will be taken out of circulation by the Central Bank of Curacao and Sint Maarten (CBCS) on 31st July.

NAf. 5, NAf. 10, NAf. 25, NAf. 50, NAf. 100 and NAf. 250 denominations of the native birds’ series without the gold-coloured foil print will be withdrawn. They will no longer be Legal Tender from 1st August.

As per reports of a periodic evaluation of all banknotes in circulation, 1986 issues do not meet the required quality standards. People have been asked to get these old notes exchanged at local commercial banks or at CBCS. People can also get their old notes exchanged at CBCS from 1st August 2018 to 31st July 2048. After 31st July 2048, they will not be allowed to exchange these notes.
