The Royal Canadian Mint is releasing a silver collector coin to commemorate the wedding of Prince Henry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle. The design was finalized after getting it approved from the couple. The reverse design recreates one of the engagement photos of the Royal couple. Canadian maple leaves, roses and escallop shells from Prince Henry’s coat of arms are also depicted. Three genuine Swarovski® crystals are also included, just like the couple’s three-stone diamond engagement ring. The obverse depicts an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin has a mintage limit of 15,000 and can be purchased for $104.95.
The mint would also be donating $25,000 to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Foundation for its ongoing research activities. Prince Harry has always promoted the importance of mental health. The donation comes as a mark of respect for the Prince.
