Shah Jahan’s Gold mohur Listed for Estimated Price of INR 1,00,000-1,25,000

This beautiful gold mohur which was issued by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan from the mint ‘Hajrat Delhi’ is estimated for INR 1,00,000-1,25,000 in the upcoming auction of Classical Numismatic Gallery Auction House, which will be held in Delhi on 19th May 2018. This coin was issued by Shah Jahan during the 11th year of his reign.The obverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘Shahjahan Badshah Gazi in the knotted square, Mint name Hajrat Delhi written in the margin. The reverse of the coin is inscribed as ‘Kalima’ within the square, AH date and name of the caliph names written in the margin.
