Coin Celebrates Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Wedding

The Royal Mint has issued a special collection of three coins to celebrate the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle which will take place on 19th May 2018 at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.Designer Jody Clark created the designs for all three coins using photos taken of the couple during a sitting at Kensington Palace. The obverse would also feature Clark’s 2015 design featuring an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
The 28.28 grams Uncirculated copper-nickel £5 coin can be purchased for £13; the 28.28 grams Proof .925 fine silver £5 coin has a mintage limit of 15,000 pieces and can be purchased for £82.50 each. A 39.94 grams Proof 22-karat gold £5 coin has a mintage limit of 850 pieces and can be ordered for £1,975.00.
