Nawanagar 2 Dokodo Sold For INR 37,000

Nawanagar was a Princely State located on the southern shores of Gulf of Kutch. It was ruled by the Jadeja Dynasty from the year 1540 CE till 1948 CE.Nawanagar was founded by Sri Rawalji in the year 1540 CE. He was a Jadeja ruler of Kutch and the Princely State during his rule was always in a constant state of war with its neighbours and with the Mughal Empire. Nawanagar had signed the Instrument of Accession in 1948 CE after Indian Independence.
This copper 2 Dokdo which was issued by Jam Sri Jaswant Singh was sold for INR 37,000 by Oswal Auction. The weight of this coin is around 12.6g. The obverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘Katar pointing towards left in the inner circle with a Devanagari legend’ and reverse of the coin depicts the value in an inner circle, VS date in Gujarati legend’.
