Dangerous Dingo Featured on Latest Coin from Perth Mint
2018-04-26 Thu
Dingo is a dangerous wild dog mostly found in Australia. It is going to be featured on the latest Proof Deadly and Dangerous 1-ounce silver dollar from Downies for Tuvalu islands. All coins in the series are being produced at Perth Mint. The coin’s design wonderfully depicts the beauty and strength of this dog.Dingoes have been a part of the Australian culture for thousands of years. There also has been a tradition of burying people with these pets. Australia’s purest dingoes are found in Fraser Island where several tourists come down for a visit from all over the world. These dogs are slim, powerful and quick on their feet. They follow a carnivore diet and hunt down kangaroos.
The photo-realistic reverse design features gold and dusky russet colours, highlighting the dry and hot nature of an Australian terrain. Another Dingo is shown in the background in relief. The coin comes in a uniquely themed packaging along with a numbered certificate of authenticity. It has a mintage limit of 5,000 pieces and can be purchased for $109 Australian each.
