Macedonia’s 1st Polymer Banknotes Will be Out Soon

Macedonia introduced the country’s first polymer notes of the denominations 10-denar and 50-denar on 23rd April. These new notes will be officially circulated on 15th May.The new polymer notes will also have security threads, micro text, double registration mark, a hidden image, and a UV feature. Special features are also included to help visually impaired people identify denominations.
A transparent window will have all the elements from their earlier version. The 10-denar note depicts a beautiful peacock while the 50-denar banknote features an engraving of an early Byzantine coin.
The older notes would be demonetized on the day when the new polymer notes are officially circulated.
