Silver Coins from Nizam’s Era Found in Andhra Pradesh

As many as 17 silver coins, probably belonging to the Nizam’s Era were discovered in Kothapalle, Atmakur Mandal, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The cops handed over the coins to the Tahsildar of Atmakur who later submitted the same to the District Collector.The coins were found in an agricultural land owned by Narayana Rao. He had appointed workers to till his land. The workers found the coins while tilling the land. The news of this discovery made locals in that area rush to the spot and search for more coins. All the coins feature Persian legends on them. However, they have not yet been identified accurately
