Perth Mint in partnership with Warner Bros. has released a new Proof .999 fine silver half dollar featuring one of the most popular and loved animation character - Bugs Bunny.

The coin depicts a coloured illustration of Bugs Bunny munching a carrot. The 15.553 grams coin has a mintage limit of 5,000 pieces and can be purchased for $53.35 each.

Daffy Duck coin, Tweety Bird coin, Sylvester the Cat coin and Tasmanian Devil coin will be released in April, June, August, and October respectively. All these coins would be legal tender for Tuvalu. They would be packaged in a clear acrylic case. The obverse of each coin would feature a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, 50 CENTS and 2018.

The Proof .999 fine silver coin from this series which was released in January featured Scooby Doo. The 31.107 grams coin has a mintage limit of 5,000 pieces and can be bought for $81.81 each.
