A special stamp is issued on the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Irish Heart Foundation.

The Irish Heart Foundation is the national charity fighting heart disease and stroke. Funded by public donation, the foundation aims at making Ireland free from heart disease.

To celebrate the 50th Year of the establishment of the Foundation, the Irish post has issued a special commemorative stamp.

Designed by Ger Garland, the stamp features an image of a heart over a cardiograph of a regular heartbeat. The stamp comes with the value of 70 cents.

The vision behind this stamp is that every person living in Ireland will live a long!
