Russian Stamps Featuring National Cuisine

An integral part of every national culture is Cuisine which has been featured on two different stamps issued by Russia.Russian cuisine is diverse and abundance in nature and is enriched by a lot of recipes of delicious dishes. Russia, hence, featured its national delicacies on stamps. Twice..!
Caviar, the most famous part of Russian cuisine appeared in 2005. An 8 Rouble stamp issued during Europa 2005 depicts Russian postage stamp showing the typical delicacies served at Maslenitsa (a Slavic religious holiday): bliny, caviar, bubliki, honey, and tea in a samovar.
Next one is a latest issue worth 21Rouble. Issued on 13th January the stamp is a joint issue of RCC countries (regional cooperative framework for countries in South East Europe). The stamp illustrates a still life of Russian cuisine dishes - pickles, okroshka, kvass and vegetables, which are traditional for Russian cuisine.
