Designed by the Directorate General of Posts designed the stamps, printed by the Government Security Printing Press in Riyadh, a total of 500,000 sets were printed. Both the stamps had the same design.

A brown globe, an outline of a person, in green, playing soccer and the trophy, for the event are featured on the stamp. Other depictions include the national Saudi emblem, a palm tree above two crossed swords; the lunar year “1409” in Arabic and the Gregorian year, “1989,” in English, both sharing the number “1.” The denomination and currency are also featured in Arabic and English. An Arabic text reads “The fifth soccer world cup finals for youth” and another one reads ”Government Security Printing Press-Riyadh.”
