Medalcraft Mint will be striking a 70-millimeter bronze medal featuring a portrait of President Donald J. Trump on the obverse. The design was proposed but not adopted for the official inaugural medal.

The Ohio Republican Committee had commissioned the medal which will be distributed to the VIPs attending the inauguration in Washington. The medal is inscribed incuse on the edge MEDALCRAFT MINT and OHIO OIM 2017. Almost 500 medals were struck for inauguration distribution. The medals cost $60 each with additional postage and insurance charges. The production will begin as soon as the final designs are approved.

The official inaugural President Trump medal will be authorised by the Trump Presidential Inaugural Committee. This medal is different from the Presidential medal yet to be struck by the U.S. Mint.
