Fake Banknotes Recovered in Scotland

The Scotish Police has warned the general public and businesses to be alert as fake banknotes have been discovered in Inverness and Nairn in two separate cases within a short period of one week. Officials have stated that many such reports were made since early September and anyone who is caught doing it purposely will be punished.The fake £50 notes look like they are printed by the Northern Irish First Trust Bank and feature the same serial number - AA294395. They were used to purchase low-cost items before the discovery. Further investigations have helped in tracing a man who was involved in this crime.
