As per official reports, the Australian silver kangaroo coins are on very high demand and more than 10 million coins have already been sold. The expected number was just 5 million for the first year, but has more than doubled in such a short period of time. Officials have predicted that the sales will exceed 12 million this year.

The 0.9999 fine silver coin is available exclusively in 1 ounce size, unlike other bullion coins. The size is popular among investors and coin collectors. Since the coins always sell out of their mintage limits, the new size was introduced and it will have an unlimited mintage this time.

The new security feature is that the first A of AUSTRALIAN includes a micro-engraved ‘A’. Officials state that the coin features the Australian icon and has a weight which is convenient and popular among investors.

The coins can be purchased for $30 per ounce and experts believe that the value will shoot upto $50 or $100 per ounce in future. There is also a steep rise in the demand for physical silver.
