Indian Banknotes in Pakistan!
2015-12-15 Tue
After independence when Pakistan and Pakistani rupee came into existence, the coins and currency notes of India were used there by simply over stamping them with the words "Pakistan".Provisional notes were issued by the Reserve Bank of India and the Government of India on behalf of the Government of Pakistan, for use exclusively within Pakistan, without the possibility of redemption in India.
It was only in 1948 that Pakistan started printing its own currency.
