Ayodhya, also known as Saketa, is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama. During the ancient period, Ayodhya served as the capital of the Kosala kingdom. Today, Ayodha is one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Hindus.A silver Vimshatika of the Ayodhya Janapada (punch-marked series) was sold for INR 6,60,000 in an auction held in Mumbai on January 4, 2026. The coin features six curves around a bold dot as the main punch, along with a side punch of a bull.
