The Government of India issued a Rs 150 commemorative coin on January 14, 2025, to mark the 150th anniversary of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), celebrating its legacy in weather forecasting, climate services, and scientific excellence since its establishment in 1875.The India Meteorological Department is the national meteorological service responsible for meteorological observations, weather forecasting, seismology and associated fields.
This commemorative coin is available in Proof and uncirculated (UNC) sets, presented in a folder or blister pack. Proof sets with MDF box packaging are also available.
