TipuSultan issued the Double Paisa, also known as Othmani or Mushtahi, in several varieties. One variety features an elephant with a flag above, bearing the Persian letter "Alif," "Be," or "Te" on the obverse, and the mint name and Mauludi year on the reverse.Tipu Sultan issued this copper Double Paisa in the Mauludi year 1225. The obverse depicts an elephant facing right with the Persian letter "Be" in the flag above. The reverse is inscribed with "Mushtari Mauludi 1225 Zarb Dar-ul-Sultanate Pattan".
