The second coin, part of the Tipu Sultan coin series, is another type of one-eighth paisa (Qutb).

Certain coins issued by Tipu Sultan feature Persian letters—such as Alif, Be, and Te—above the elephant on the obverse, with the mint name and date on the reverse.

The obverse displays an elephant facing left with the Maludi date above, while the reverse bears the mint name.
