The International Day of Forests is observed annually on March 21. It raises awareness of the importance of forests in our environment. In 2025, India commits to conserving forests through initiatives such as the Green India Mission, the Agroforestry Policy, and the Van Dhan Yojana. The Govt of India/Department of Posts regularly issues stamps and coins to spread awareness among the populace which enhances and highlights the need for conservation and growth of our forest wealth.
