The Government of India issued an Rs 100 Commemorative coin marking the Centenary Celebration of the Mysore Medical College and Research Institute. Krishna Raja Wadiyar IV, the Maharaja of Mysore, founded Mysore Medical College and Research Institute in 1924. Before this, there was no Medical education in erstwhile Mysore State. The Mysore Medical College was the first in the state and only seventh in India at that time.Latest News
