Chutu Dynasty

The Chutu Dynasty, also known as the Ananda Dynasty, ruled parts of the Deccan region in South India from the first to the third century CE. The capital of this dynasty was Banvasi, located in present-day Karnataka. They rose to power as feudatories of the Satavahanas and claimed sovereignty after the decline of Satavahana rule.The Chutu Dynasty succeeded the Maharathis of Karnataka and issued coins in large numbers. Three series of coins have been identified from this dynasty: Chutukulananda, Mulananda, and Sivalananda. These coins represent families, not individual kings.
