2025-01-31 Fri
Phulgaon is a small village located in the Pune district of Maharashtra. Peshwa Baji Rao II encouraged numerous households to move here by building several houses and embankments. Peshwa Baji Rao II built a Palace and ghat in Phulgaon around 1815 CE, three years before his abdication. A mint was also established in the region around this time. The rest of Phulgaon's history, however, is still unknown. The coin from this mint bears a Hibiscus flower representing Maratha deity Ganesha and Ankushi as a mint mark.Latest News
