On 4th January 1994, R.D. Burman, renowned as one of the most successful music directors who revolutionized the Indian Music Industry breathed his last.

He blended Indian classical and #folkmusic with Western genres like jazz, rock, funk, and disco while introducing electric guitars and saxophones in Hindi Films.

India Post issued a postage stamp of him on 3rd May 2013 as a part of the '100 Years of Indian Cinema' Set whose legacy continues to inspire generations of music lovers, composers, and singers.
