This Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav was aimed at celebrating the cultural, economic, and spiritual richness of Northeast India.

The stamp serves as a symbol of Northeast India's prosperity and heritage, encapsulated by the term "Ashtalakshmi," representing the eight forms of prosperity associated with Goddess Lakshmi.

India Post issued a commemorative postage stamp during the inauguration of the Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
