Silver Denarius of Roman King Caracalla

Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, originally named Lucius Septimius Bassianus, was known as Caracalla and ruled the #Roman #Empire from 198 CE to 217 CE. He was a member of the #Severan dynasty, the eldest son of Septimius Severus and Empress Julia Domna.Caracalla issued this silver Denarius weighing 3.32g during his rule the obverse features a laureate and draped bust to the right with the legend ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, and the reverse features Felicitas standing left holding caduceus and cornucopia.
