Silver Rupee of Princely State Dholpur

Princely State Dholpur, was located in the easternmost state of Rajputana Province during the British Raj. The city had served as the administrative headquarters of Dholpur District.Rana Kirat Singh, a Jat ruler, founded the Kingdom of Dholpur in 1806. After 1818, Dholpur was placed under the authority of British India's Jatwara.
King Chhatrapat Singh of Princely state Dholpur issued this silver rupee, minted at Gohad. The obverse features the legend as 'Sikka Zad Bar Haft Kishwara Saya Fazl Ilah Hami Deen Muhammad Shah Alam Badshah, Pistol mint mark and AH 1190'. The reverse features the legend 'Zarb Gohad, Sanah 18, Julus Mainamat Manus'.
