Roman King Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Silver Denarius Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, also known by his nickname Caracalla, was a member of the Severan dynasty. He ruled the Roman Empire from 198 CE to 217 CE. He became the co-ruler of the Roman Empire with his father in 198 CE.Caracalla issued this silver Denarius, 3.07g, during his rule. The obverse of this coin depicts the Bust of King Caracalla facing to the right in the centre and the legend 'ANTONINVS PIVS AVG' around. The reverse of this coin depicts the Ancient Roman deity Mars standing, holding a shield and reversed spear with the legend PONTIF TRP VIIII COS II.
