Nasir Al-Din Mahmud Shah I ruled the Gujarat Sultanate from 1458 CE to 1511 CE. During his reign, he issued varieties of copper and silver coins. He issued coins with the mint names only after the capture of Girnar, founding the city of Mustafabad and taking control over the Campaniar, which renamed as Muhammadabad.

Nasir Al-din Mahmud Shah I issued this silver half tanka, 5.72g, Muhammadabad Champaner mint.

The obverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘Al-sultan Al-Azam Nasir al-dunya wa 'l din abu 'l fath’. The reverse of the coin is inscribed as ‘Mahmud Shah Al-Sultan’.
