George VI was Emperor of the British Empire from December 11, 1936, until he died in 1952. British Raj was dissolve under his rule in August 1947.This rare Cupro-Nickle 2 Annas, Calcutta Mint, dated 1946 is a mule. The obverse die of 1944 is paired with the reverse die of 1946, with a large 6.
The obverse features bust of King George VI, facing to the left, in the center and Letting 'GEORGE VI KING EMPEROR' around. The reverse features denomination and date within the floral pattern.
