Inauguration of New Delhi

New Delhi was inaugurated as the New Capital of India on 13th February 1931 by Lord Irwin.To mark the occasion, a set of six stamps featuring famous landscapes of the city were issued on 9th February 1931.
These were the first commemorative issues from India.
