Kosambi, also known as Kaushambi, was one of the important cities and the capital of the Vatsa kingdom, one of the sixteen mahajanapadas during the ancient period in India.

This Cast Copper of Kosambi weighs around 6.51g. The obverse features a Lanky bull walking to the left, with four nandipadas above and a triangular-headed standard in front. The reverse features a Tree in the railing in the centre, with a wheel to the left and a nandipada above, a swastika to the right with a Ujjaini symbol and a six-arched hill at the bottom.
