The United Nations Postal Administration is responsible for issuing postage stamps and postal stationery in United States dollars for the New York office.

In 1968, the UNPA partnered with Swiss postal authorities to issue stamps with franc denomination for Geneva offices.

The stamps were released on October 4th, 1969. In 1979, a similar agreement was reached with Austria for Vienna.
