India Post released a new stamp to pay homage to Shahaji Raje Bhosale, an esteemed Indian military commander from the 17th century.

Throughout his career, he served the Ahmednagar Sultanate, the Bijapur Sultanate, and the Mughal Empire, playing a pivotal role in elevating the House of Bhosale to prominence.

Additionally, he was the father of Shivaji, the visionary founder of the Maratha Empire.
