Duvvuri Subbarao, born on 11th August 1949, is a retired Indian economist and Central Banker who was on deputation in the Joint secretary in the Department of Economics Affairs and was involved in the formulating and implementing the 1991 Reforms.

He served as the 22nd Governor of the Reserve Bank of India under former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, on 5th September 2008 and was in office till 4th September 2013.
