Andalusia Day is celebrated on 28 February every year to commemorate the referendum adopted on 28 February 1980.
As per the Andalusia custom people decorate the balconies with the national flag of Andalusia and with bunting echoing its green-and-white bars. Various events are conducted in school and government offices. Its history and customs, put on plays and sing the national anthem, the Himno de Andalucía.
