Thailand is historically known as Siam and is the official kingdom of Thailand. Following the monarch's death, the Bank of Thailand reissued a new version featuring the new King. The Thai baht has the 17th series of banknotes from 2018 onwards.Thai baht was issued on 6 April 2018. The obverse depicts King Vajiralongkorn in the uniform of the commander of the Royal Thai Air Force. In reverse, there are Kings Phra Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke (Rama I) on the left and Phra Buddha Loetla Nabhalai (Rama II) on the right and a Thai mural of a scene from Enau.
