Lake Constance viz., Bodensee is formed by the melting of the rhine river in the Ice age era, it further became the meeting of the upper and lower lakes.

Situated on the Lake is Mainau Island, the third largest island owned by the Family of Bernadotte. The Island is the tourist hub mainly because of its Botanical Gardens and Scenic spots combined with Goth architecture.
