The Government of India has launched an initiative called Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to remember and celebrate 75 years of independence as well as the illustrious past of its people, culture, and accomplishments.
The obverse features the Ashoka Lion Emblem with the motto "Satyameva Jayate" which translates into Truth alone triumphs
The reverse has the logo of the 75th anniversary of independence, the number 75 with a solar disk and a flag, and the mintmark "?" is the synonym of Mumbai mint. The theme at the top is "75TH YEAR OF INDEPENDENCE" (75th year of independence).
