20 Rufiyaa of Maldives

The 20 Rufiyaa note from the Maldives, issued in 2015-2021, was issued on July 1, 2020, and is made of polymer. It was standard circulation and measures 150 x 70 mm which was printed by De La Rue in London, England.The Obverse side of the 20 Rufiyaa note from the Maldives depicts a jet airplane taking off from the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (MLE) and a fisherman carrying skipjack tuna and yellow fin tuna, as well as a cowry shell (cyprea moneta). The reverse of the note features a traditional sail boat known as “Dhoni”.
