2023-01-17 Tue
A country in southeast Africa adopted the Malawian 20 kwacha. It was an issue in 2016. The obverse depicts a banknote featuring "Reserve Bank of Malawi headquarters in Lilongwe; Inkosi ya Makhosi M'mbelwa II (Lazalo Mkhuzo Jere) and the reverse depicts "Domasi Teachers Training College building and tree; stacks of books and mortarboard."The Reserve Bank of Malawi will revise its new series of notes to be more "blind-friendly." According to the Malawi Union of the Blind, the current notes have raised dots to help with denomination recognition; however, the dots are too small to be useful.
