Six different American dollar denominations, including the silver dollar, were issued by the United States Mint. They are part of the American dollar series. Since 1921, the US Mint has produced these one-dollar coins.

The Peace Dollar symbolized the country's growth and development as a worldwide power. while honouring its citizens' sacrifices in World War I and celebrating victory and peace. The United States Mint is happy to present the 2021 Peace Dollar in honour of the 100th anniversary of this iconic silver dollar. It has a beautiful uncirculated finish. The silver $1 Peace dollar celebrates the peace accords that ended World War I, depicting Liberty with a spiked crown (rays). The bald eagle on the back of the US Peace Dollar coin holds an olive branch. The obverse depicts Liberty in profile, with a radiant crown. "IN GOD WE TRUST," the Liberty Head declares.
