2023-01-05 Thu

On December 10th, 1932, the Indian Military Academy was established and since then, more than 1200 cadets have graduated. Of them 400 are commissioned as regular Indian Army officers every six months. The Academy's motto is "Veerta Aur Vivek."

A Field Marshal, a galaxy of Generals, recipients of the nation's highest bravery award, and other individuals who have elevated their sport to international prominence are among the Indian Military Academy's alumni. The Academy's tradition of honour is similarly outstanding and attests to the unwavering bravery and devotion of Indian Soldiers.

Departments of Posts released a commemorative stamp on the Indian Military Academy on its 50th Anniversary.
