Gold Mohur of Akbar Sold For INR 85,000

Mughal Emperor Akbar issued this gold mohur during his rule in India. In an Auction House of Todywalla, this gold mohur was sold for INR 85,000, held in Mumbai on December 17, 2022.Muhammad Jalal-ud-din Akbar ruled Mughal Empire between 1556 CE and 1650 CE. He ruled the mighty Mughal Empire for almost 50 years, and during these 50 years of rule, he issued different coins with various metals and denominations.
This gold mohur, which weighs around 10.7g, was issued the minted in Agra in the Hijri year 978. The obverse side of this gold mohur reads Kalima. The reverse side of this gold mohur is inscribed with the name and title of Akbar.
