Ram Chand Paul was a prominent scientist, educationist, science advocate, administrator, and the author of a large number of research papers and books. He played a key role in the growth of Punjab University where is worked as a professor of chemistry and then as a Dean of a university instructor and later as a Vice-Chancellor of the University. He is known to play a seminal role in the development of the University into the first-rate academic institution in the country.

India Post issued a commemorative stamp of Ram Chand Paul on 6th March 2019, recognizing his eminent contribution to the field of Chemistry.
