Haider Ali Gold Pagoda is listed for INR 22,000

This beautiful gold pagoda was issued by the sultan of Mysore and the father of Tipu Sultan, Hyder Ali. Haider Ali ruled Mysore between 1761 and 1782. After sitting on the throne of Mysore, he expanded his kingdom till the border of Maratha Empire and Nizam of Hyderabad. He was indulging in frequent warfare with his neighbors and rebellion within his territories.This gold pagoda, which weighs around 3.44g, was issued by Haider Ali during his rule. The obverse side of this gold pagoda depicts seated Shiva and Parvati, and the reverse side is inscribed with persian letter 'He'. This gold pagoda listed for INR 22,000 in upcoming auction of Todywalla, which will held in Mumbai on December 17, 2022.
