The Indian President Ram Nath Kovind took part in the Indian Navy 12th Presidential Fleet Review in Vishakhapatnam recently. Historically, a Fleet Review is an assembly of ships at a pre-designated place to display loyalty and allegiance to the Sovereign and the state.

In turn, the Sovereign, by reviewing the ships, reaffirms his faith in the fleet and its ability to defend the nation's maritime interest. It showcases all types of ships and capabilities the Navy has. It takes place once under every President, who is the supreme commander of the armed forces.

India Post released a stamp commemorating the president's fleets review in 2022. The stamp features 4 navy warships coursing gracefully through the wide ocean, depicting their strength and agility.
