Recently Mumbai Samachar, started by Furdoonjee Marzbanjee, had its 200th anniversary. It had a glorious history spanning from pre-independence to the freedom struggle, and contemporary times reflect the entire history of the country.

Honourable prime minister Shri Narendra Modi said in a press conference “that Mumbai Samachar was known for its credibility and was referred to by known personalities like Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel. The language of the newspaper was Gujarati, but its concerns were national.

Mumbai Samachar successfully managed to change from the old times and make its transition from newspaper to digital papers by still staying relevant to its roots.
