Argentine football player and later a manager, Diego Maradona, was born on 30th October 1960. Diego Maradona is considered one of the greatest players in the game of football. He was known to be a free-kick specialist. Maradona received the nickname “The Golden Boy”, which he carried throughout his career. He faced a ban twice in 1991 and 1994.
Diego Maradona played 91 matches for Argentina and scored 34 goals in his international career. He was the captain of Argentina in the 1986 FIFA World Cup-winning side and also won the Golden Ball in that edition as the mark of being the best player. Along with that, he had appeared in 4 FIFA World Cups.
The above-given stamp is a commemorative stamp of Diego Maradona, issued by Uganda on 1st October 1993. This stamp has a face value of 900 Ugandan shillings.
